Pitstop Clinic Walk-In Sexual Health Screening for Gay & Bisexual Men & Trans People

Pitstop Clinic operates sexual health screening services for Gay or Bisexual men and Trans people. You can either:-

(1) Book an appointment and attend the clinic at a time convenient to you via the below booking system:-
https://bookatest.metrocharity.org.uk/

(2) Attend our friendly Walk-In service on Wednesday evening from 6:30pm until 8:30pm:-https://pitstopplus.org/local-clinics/

The Clinic operates from 1st Floor, Equitable House, Vincent Road, General Gordon Square, Woolwich, SE18 6FH.

We regret that we are unable to see patients with symptoms and we do not provide PrEP or PEP onsite. We are also unable to treat contact patients (people who have been advised they have been in contact with a person who has then gone on to test positive for a sexually transmitted infection). We can however offer sexual health screening, onward referral for HPV vaccination and Hepatitis B vaccinations on site at the Pitstop Wednesday clinic. We offer sexual health advice, information on PEP and PrEP and can provide you with free condoms and lube. You do not need to live in the London Borough of Greenwich to attend the clinic.

Clinic results take ten working days to process on average and our procedure is to only contact you if you test positive for a sexually transmitted infection or if your samples cannot, for some reason, be tested. We can provide instant HIV and Syphilis tests, where our nurse feels this is appropriate. This is relative to your sexual history and the applicable window periods for infection.

Referral Details

No referral is needed to attend the clinic. We are open to anyone attending, regardless of where they live. The only stipulation is that you are a Gay or Bisexual Man or a Trans person, that you are not symptomatic or a person looking for medication (having recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection) and that you are not looking for the provision of PEP or PrEP as we cannot provide these to you. We recommend that anyone who is looking for PEP attends A&E within the first 72hours of potential exposure.
