Monthly tea parties for people aged 75 and over

These tea parties are free monthly social groups for people aged 75 and over who are lonely, isolated or in need of companionship.

They are a chance for a change of scenery and regular afternoons of conversation and laughter with friends of all ages. You will even be taken there and home again by one of the service's volunteer drivers, so you don't need to worry about organising travel.

The parties are for between 10-15 people and are held on Sundays. While the parties are usually held at the home of a volunteer host, many groups do sometimes meet in other venues too, like community halls, hotels, museums and even the odd fire station!

Volunteers' homes and other chosen venues will all be accessible with a downstairs toilet and no more than a few steps up to the property - but volunteers who host in their own home are unlikely to have things such as handrails and toilet facilities for people with disabilities. For this reason the tea parties are unfortunately not suitable for people who rely on a wheelchair for their mobility
