Leadership Programme

The UpRising flagship core leadership  -   nine month evening-based programme, involving ‘access behind the scenes’ sessions with some of the UK’s most senior leaders and equipping   young people with the knowledge, networks, skills and confidence to reach their leadership potential and take social action on issues.

The core programme offers participants a unique first-hand view of the way that political, business, public sector and community organisations work together to shape our communities. Participants are matched with a coach & a mentor who offers one to one support throughout their time on the programme.

Participants develop teamwork skills working with other UpRisers to design and deliver a social action campaign on a local issue they are passionate about.  As well as forming networks with senior figures, participants also build strong networks amongst their peers on the programme.

The Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) 

An alumni of talented, diverse and committed people exemplifying the values Britons want in their leaders. Participants must have completed the Uprising Programme & all emerging leaders have access and the opportunities and support the Emerging Leaders Network has to offer. 2-week, full-time employability programme for 18-25 year olds looking to build on their existing experience and qualifications to kick-start their career. Runs 4th – 15th April with one to one near peer mentoring until September 2015.

The programme equips with the knowledge, network, skills and confidence to secure the right job. Participants meet & network with professionals, get mentoring support and improve job-readiness by developing CVs and taking part in mock interviews. Programme offers one-to-one support and Near-peer mentoring from trained alumni from the Leadership Programme
