The Woolwich & Plumstead Roses Women's Institute

The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities, and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Born in 2016, the Woolwich and Plumstead Roses are the official Women's Institute of SE18. Like all WIs, we're a mixture of ages and backgrounds and we meet monthly at Plumcroft School's Vincent Road campus, on the first Thursday of the month from 7.30pm. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment for all local women to meet, make new friends, learn from one another, make an impact in the community, try new activities and most importantly, to have fun.

As well as our monthly meetings, we have number of members-only activities: a book club, walking group, supper club, craft club, darts team and dining club.

Come along as a guest for £5 - including tea and cake - up to a maximum of three times, after which time if you would like to come along you will need to join as a member. Membership costs £42 per year (until 31st March, £31.50 if you join between 1st April - 30th June, £21.00 between 1st July - 30th September and £10.50 from 1st October - 31st December) and includes entry to 11 monthly meetings per year and all clubs (additional costs may apply), eight issues of WI Life magazine and a member's discount booklet.
