Free open space available for families

Organisations across Greenwich borough are offering free open space for families to safely enjoy during the lockdown. All sites are COVID-secure and allow families to spend time together outdoors in a safe space. For more information, please see below for each organisation's offer:


Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT)

COVID-secure site available for free in New Eltham to families of children and young people with additional needs living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

  • 2-hour slots per bubble 
  • Full and exclusive use of the astro pitch for your bubble 
  • Sanitised equipment provided 
  • Equipment and toilet facilities sanitised every 2 hours 
  • CACT staff on site
  • Free parking available

The Bridge 

These bookable play sessions are for families of children aged 0-8 living in Greenwich with special educational needs or a disability (pre- and post-diagnosis welcome). The site is located in East Greenwich


In line with current Government guidance, the provision is limited to one family/ support bubble per session. Parent/Carer supervision of children required at all times.

Please book at least 24 hours in advance and advise us if you wish to cancel.

Session times:
Tuesday 2pm – 3pm
Wednesday 11am – 12pm 
Saturday 11 am – 12pm
