Lawrence Atwell’s Charity
Charity offers grants to young people aged 16-26 from low-waged families (total income below £26,000) who would struggle to get training without additional financial support to learn new skills and make their way into work. Applicants must be British citizens, refugees with leave to remain in the UK or asylum seekers in the process of obtaining leave to remain, or have lived in the UK for 3 years before the start of your course. The charity particularly supports those who face additional barriers in life, work and training eg those who: have no or few qualifications after leaving secondary education; have very limited or no support from their families; have a physical or mental disability; are lone parents; have fled persecution in their home countries; or, are ex-offenders or at risk of offending. Applications are via the website where an online eligibility quiz will lead into the full application form.
