Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing

This page aims to give you information about what help and support is avaible in Royal Greenwich for children and young people.

Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people. They include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder, and are often a direct response to what is happening in their lives.

Please see a guide to the right of the page which brings together information about the range of mental health conditions the local and national services available to provide support to children, young people and families.

The mental health symptoms on pages 4 to 10 and the section entitled “Determining the right help for the young person” are the copyright of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust 2017.

Please see a resource guide attached to the right that shows professionals working with children and young people as a way to identify mental health symptoms and the range of services available to support children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health concerns.

To the right we also have a presentation done by the ACE group at Kings Park school on mental health.
