Drug Alcohol and Mental Health Integrated Commissioning Team (DAMIC)

DAMIC is the Drug Alcohol and Mental Health Integrated Commissioning team within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The Joint Commissioning Team located within Children’s Services commissions the Young People’s Substance Misuse (drugs and alcohol) Service within the Royal Borough.

They are responsible for delivering the national drug strategy for children, young people and adults in Greenwich at a local level which they do by purchasing treatment services through a tender process.

The commissioning team sets the targets for these services, and monitors their performance to ensure they are providing effective treatment which reflects the needs of the local population. Through regular monitoring of Borough services both commissioning teams are able to provide evidence to the Department of Health and Public Health England of where money has been spent and how effective local treatment services are.
